Chambers UK 2008 about Hailsham Chambers

Letter from the editor:

"Each year the courts try large numbers of professional negligence cases which throw up new points of law or contain other valuable insights into the changing nature of professional practice. This makes them essential reading for practitioners in this rapidly developing field. The Lloyd's Law Reports: Professional Negligence is a dedicated series of reports which seeks to publish the most important of these judgments in an accessible and authoritative form upon which you can rely.

As well as a verbatim copy of the judgment each report features a comprehensive headnote in the well-known style of the Lloyds Reports. The headnote will contain a detailed summary of the essential factual background, what the court decided, and why it decided as it did.  It will enable you to see at a glance what the case was about and what its significance was.  It will also provide you with an authoritative and convenient summary which can be cited in court.

I am very pleased to be the new General Editor of this series of reports which is produced by a team of editors and contributors at Hailsham Chambers working in collaboration with Informa. The editors, Simon Wilton, Paul Mitchell, and Jacqueline Simpson, are all practising barristers specialising in the field of professional negligence.  They are supported by a team of contributors from within chambers, all of whom are also expert in this field.  It is our hope that this will prove to be a valuable resource."
