About the Editors
Editors-in-Chief
His Honour Humphrey LLoyd QC
Humphrey LLoyd founded The International Construction Law Review with David Wightman in 1983. He was then a Queen’s Counsel in practice at the English Bar specialising in construction law and disputes, national and international and serving as an arbitrator in many international cases. He has been a member of the Commission on International Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce since 1980 and has written and lectured widely on dispute resolution. He was the senior editor of the Building Law Reports from 1977. From 1993 to 2005 he was a judge in what is now known as the Technology and Construction Court in London (part of the High Court of Justice). He has now resumed practice as an arbitrator. He was a founding member of the Society of Construction Law and its President 1985-1988. In 2004 he was awarded the President’s Medal. He is an Hon. Fellow of both the American and Canadian Colleges of Construction Lawyers. He is chairman of the Review Body for the UK Construction Industry Model Arbitration Rules, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Professorial Fellow at Queen Mary, London and a Visiting Professor at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Douglas S Jones
Doug Jones is an international infrastructure and dispute resolution lawyer. He is a Sydney-based partner in the Australian law firm of Clayton Utz where he heads the International Arbitration and Major Projects Groups of the firm. Doug is also a door tenant at Atkin Chambers, London.
He holds positions in a number of organisations including Co-Chair of the International Projects Committee of the IBA and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
He is Professorial Fellow in the Law School of Melbourne University and Adjunct Professor of Notre Dame University Australia and Adjunct Professor of Law, Murdoch University, Australia.
In January 1999 he was made a Member of the Order of Australia in recognition of his services to construction law and dispute resolution.
